An Easter Gift

Hello, beautiful individuals, hope your feeling the Easter Spirit as much as I am!! You can really feel the beginning of Spring! Exciting! It only means that summer is coming closer. Thought I would share with you a cute and simplistic Easter Gift Idea, that is truly personal and treasured. Lovely people, your friends hopefully will really like it!

Fellow ones, the whole idea behind this is to give your friend, loved ones, etc, an Easter egg which they keep forever. Mono Printing 'the artsy word for this style of drawing' is quite an easy and bespoke way to create a simple but personal drawing. Even though it's not necessarily a skilled picture, the vintage and simple nature of the art makes up for this downfall.

Beauties, I firstly drew out some simple Easter egg designs onto A5 (normal plain paper) with a black pen, make sure that somewhere within the design you write the name of the person whom is special enough to receive this. If you are not good at drawing, you can easily print out an Easter Egg design from the internet...

... After producing your designs, you simply apply mono ink (black) onto the back of the designs. Make sure the ink is spread out evenly in a thin layer, you can use a mono roller or a rolling pin (covered in cling-film), make sure that any excess ink is removed...

... after spreading the ink evenly out, place the inked side faced down on white card and redraw over the Easter Egg design in a firm manner, try not to put to much pressure on the paper with your fingers and hand...

...After redrawing over your design, carefully peel the design off the white card...

...neatly cut out the printed design and mount it in a white mount - you can see that the outcome produces a vintage and distressed look to the original design.

Overall gorgeous people it's simply a cute gift for Easter which whom ever you give it too knows you spent time on producing a completely original drawing for them.

I'll talk soon beautiful people.

Triple Herb and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup

Hello lovely individuals, I have shared with you a yummy soup recipe 'triple herb and spicy butternut squash soup'. It is truly marvelous! I hope you like the sound of it rather than the appearance, so give it a go, it's super easy and takes about 1h 30mins.

Firstly i'll give you the ingredients (since that's pretty important)

2 butternut squash
2 carrots
1 red onion
2 celery sticks
8 bay leaves
16 sage leaves
6 rosemary sprigs
2 tsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp mixed nuts
2 vegetable stock cubes
2 garlic cloves
1 red chili pepper
10 tbsp olive oil

Beautiful people, what you first want to do is throw in a large sauce pan the bay leaves, Fennel seeds, mixed nuts, sage leaves, and 10 tbsp's of olive oil. Put the hob onto medium heat and allow the oil to infuse with the herbs and spices. Meanwhile roughly chop up the carrots, onion, celery sticks, and rosemary ...

...Once the herbs and spices have infused in the olive oil, carefully take them out, leaving the olive oil remaining in the pan and put in a separate bowl (we need these for later on in the recipe)! Put the chopped veg in the pan, along with finely chopped 1 red chili pepper and 3 garlic cloves, allow them to cook in the olive oil for 10 mins...

...whilst the veg is cooking for 10 mins, roughly chop the butternut squashes into small chunks. In a smaller sauce pan put 1.7 liters of water as well as the 2 vegetable stock cubes in the pan and allow to simmer...

... once the veg has cooked for 10 mins, add in the butternut squash and stock. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 40 mins. Meanwhile by using a hand blender, blend the herbs and spices (from the start of the recipe) into a paste, add to the large sauce pan...

... once the 40 mins is up, bring off the hob and by using the hand blender, blend until smooth...

... serve the soup with a sprinkling of Parmesan and fresh ciabatta bread.

Lovelies, I hope you love this soup as much as I do!

I'll talk soon beautiful people.

Three 'Chill Out' Outfits

Hello, beautiful people! I wanted to start off my blog with a super chill out post on ‘chill out outfit’s’. I personally class this look as being comfortable, casual and careless – still being able to express the cool chic inside of you. Firstly, trainers and pumps reward these outfits the medal of the ‘ultimate chill out look’ – these style of shoes are super casual. Don’t wear jewelry, as you want to be comfortable, wearing bling just dresses the whole outfit up! This is not needed! Denim is wonderful for the chill out look – adding a quirky graphic tee is all you need to create the careless outfit, so don’t accessorize except from the cases of adding a simple belt. Beauty’s, where your hair o-natural, with no curling or straightening, just tie your hair up or leave it down – finish the look with bold, bright lipstick to show your inner cool chic.

Illustrated by myself: Elizabeth Maria Goodrick.
You lovely people, this outfit is my personal favorite! Dungarees in my opinion are funky and stylish; they have made their way back into fashion, and into our generation. My dungarees are from ASOS, quite reasonably priced considering the amount of denim used and the complications in the pattern structure. I got mine in black – this color suitably co-ordinates with most colors and due to the darkness of this color it contrasts with any bold color, creating a dramatic outfit. My mustard yellow tee is a perfect example of a bold color and is the casual aspect of the outfit. Finally finish the outfit with some white pumps, which mine are converse, white contrasts the black dungarees, but still fulfills the ‘chill out’ look.

Free spirits – this is my 2nd outfit, mom jeans are the ‘jean style to have’ at the moment, the baggy and unstructured fit seems like it won’t be very flattering – but in my opinion they are sexy and create curve. My mom jeans are from MOTO Topshop, and are a worthy purchase, not only because of the design but because they are really good quality! I fitted a black belt with this, as it creates visually a slimmer waist and obviously co-ordinates with the top. I wear a simple black cropped graphic tee with these, which demonstrates your silhouette nicely. Lovelies – wearing white running trainer’s co-ordinates with the white graphic writing from the tee, which balances the whole outfit.

Gorgeous people on earth, this is my last ‘chill out’ outfit and I took it to the next level with a classic ‘denim’ jacket. This piece of fashion history is a classic moto design for the hipster inside of you. My black denim jacket is from urban outfitters and makes any outfit super casual; this black denim jacket is over-sized, but creates a nice shape to the lower half of your body. I wear underneath this classic piece, a grey graphic tee and low rise skinny medium wash denim jeans, accompanied with crimson converse. The jeans and tee are the most basic items you could possibly put together – therefore this concludes my final ‘chill-out’ outfit!
